Lorena Franco
She has a Degree in Biology from the School of Exact and Natural Sciences (FCEyN), UBA, a PhD from FCEyN’s Laboratory of Physiology and Molecular Biology, and made her first postdoc at the Department of Neurobiology of the Neurosciences Institute, CSIC-UMH, Alicante, Spain.
Later, she completed a second postdoc at the Behavioral Genetics Laboratory, Leloir Institute, where she studied neuronal degeneration mechanisms, in both mice and the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster.
Since 2017 she has been a researcher at the Department of Medical Physics.
She is currently studying the neural circuits involved in the control of different rhythmic behaviors (such as locomotor activity and oviposition) at the molecular and circuit level.
